Now (and always) taking book recommendations

These are the books I hope to read over Christmas break. I will have no work and no classes for nearly a month, so I will have plenty of time.

1. The Snow Queen by Joan D. Vinge
2. Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk by David Sedaris
3. Little, Big by John Crowley
4. Hyperion by Dan Simmons
5. As Meat Loves Salt by Maria McCann
6. Middlemarch by George Eliot (this is never going to happen but I feel duty-bound to include it on any such list)

Most likely, what will happen is that I will finish The Snow Queen and Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk (both of which I've already started) and then spend the rest of my break on the internet doing NOTHING. And loving it.

One week of work and two tiny papers to go, then I'm free!
